Got back from LA Monday afternoon after a 24hr+ journey because of delays, though it feels like only a few hours ago that I was at LAX airport
This trip was almost entirely holiday only, though I did shoot with
stevedietgoedde,
venuswept and Taslimur. Had a great time, almost as good as last month's London extravaganza but sadly didn't last as long. Highlights included circus night at the Edison, dinner at The Stinking Rose (omg soo good), a day exploring rockpools at Laguna Beach, day trip to Six Flags (where I screamed in a most girlish manner), hanging out with friends and meeting new people, some good lazing around on the world's comfiest giant beanbag whilst reading, listening and watching some of my favourite films.
Haven't been up to much else really, I've had a bit of a break from shooting. But back into the swing of things from tomorrow and the rest of July. Tomorrow I'm flying to Portugal to shoot for a week! Rather looking forward to that as I've not been to Portugal before (going to Faro, right on the South coast, it's going to be crazy hot!).
In other news, Steve gave me a copy of his GoeddeConcerto CD while I was in LA too...
"Robert Waechter, concertmaster of the Philharmonic Orchestra/Opera de Nice, France, and Steve Diet Goedde, internationally renowned erotic photographer, have released an audio/visual collaboration entitled GoeddeConcerto. The CD features 21 concertos inspired by 21 photographs by Steve Diet Goedde. Robert personally picked the photographs which inspired him and then composed and conducted each individual piece for the CD. The CD contains a 24-page booklet of the photographs to accompany the music."
I have 3 images in the CD booklet from our first ever shoot in September 2007. It really doesn't seem that long ago!

I just got a couple of the new images we shot last week too...

Rawr! Day off today. Spending some time going through my diary and organising the month in my head. April was kinda slow modelling-wise but May seems to be picking up again.
I'm shooting tomorrow in Wolverhampton, fashion and latex stuff I think with photographer John Barone. Hopefully I'll be doing some of my own fashion styling, I have a couple of random ideas I want to try out (involving animal print spandex :)).
On Monday I've been booked for a hair job in Rugby for Browns Hairdressing - I think it's a presentation/catwalk thing in association with Tigi but I've no idea what they're going to do with my hair yet! But it's cut & colour job so I shall have new hair just in time for the TG Birthday weekend, well timed! :)
So I'll be in London from Monday onwards, meeting Allan and Alyssa on Thursday when they fly in from LA as we're all staying at my sister's place for the TG weekend. I think it's going to be a rather busy house as a few of my sister's friends are staying over too! On the Friday ball I'm doing a fashion show for Roxy Contin and the Saturday ball another show for Antiseptic Fashion (LA invasion!!!). I think I'm doing a shoot or two while everyone from LA is in London too but the details are still to be sorted!
Then after the TG weekend is over with I have a few days break then up to Edinburgh for 2 days shooting with The Yerbury's which should be great (the first day latex goodies from HMS Latex and the second day some classic nudes).
And quite a few new pics today! Seems to be a week for darker images rather than the colour-fest I've been having this year!

| 1. Something a bit different to the urban/punky stuff I usually do for Drac In a Box clothing. My inner goth is totally in love with this outfit, the blouse especially. And anyone looking for an affordable corset - this and the overbust that I also shot (see the DIAB site) are incredibly comfy! Shot by Hair/MUA: Me ![]() | 2. The second outfit I modelled from the new Lacing Lilith collection (see my previous journal entry HERE for the first one). I really like this one, there's something odd and creepy about the pose and my expression that is cool. Photography: Hair: Arno @ Metropolis MUA: Kirka Verinen ![]() |

Yesterday saw me make a very quick trip to London/Kingston to get my roots touched up before going to Madrid for a few days with
catherineday,
ruby_redxxx and
queen_tea. Have just finished packing and will be heading off to the airport in the next couple of hours. Don't think I've forgotten anything, just need to grab some batteries for my camera!
I purposefully kept most of my time in Madrid free to do fun touristy things so I'll be shooting for Maya Hansen on Friday and that's it for work stuff. She sent me previews of the outfits I'll be modelling yesterday and they look really stunning! They are based on the colours of cupcakes and creamcakes, all decadent and colourful! I went and bought a bunch of matching accessories and hair things, I'm so bad when it comes to buying stuff for shoots when I'm really into the theme.
Not much else to write about for now but I will share more of the pics I just got from my shoot with Colin Ackerman. I totally love them! It's so nice every now and then to get to dress up in my own (non latex) wardrobe and style myself exactly how I want to!
( a few more under here... )
I might be shooting with Colin again next month too, if he lets me do my own styling again I may have to get out all the spandex animal print leggings I've been hoarding while they're 'in fashion' and easy to get hold of!

Yesterday I had what I think (if my rather bad memory serves correctly) my first outdoor location art nude shoot this year, somewhere around the border of Exmoor with photographer Gary Plumley. The weather was not being favourable and we spent a lot of time waiting for rain showers to pass! It was also incredibly windy which made it very very cold. We did manage to get some lovely pics done though, when the wind dropped and the sun came out from behind the clouds it was actually very pleasant!
We stopped for lunch (home made beefburger, chips, lots of hot coffee!) in a really nice rural pub that I didn't catch the name of. My heart kinda sank when looking out of the window it started hail-stoning out of nowhere but by the time we'd finished our coffee the sun was shining. Gotta love the random weather we have in the south west! After lunch we did some shots in a small wooded area surrounding some farmland, where I found a skull lying among the trees. I brought it home with me and only when I got home did the fattest spider I've ever seen crawl out of it and make me squeal like a girl. haha. The skull is cool though, haven't took any pics yet but I'm trying to decide if it is a sheep or a deer. I'd like it to be a lady deer but it's probably a sheep!
I also got a couple of pics from the shoot on friday with Colin Ackerman (the one I mentioned in my last post where the police woman turned up). I'm quite pleased with my styling efforts in these! :)

Still hunting for a way to get Essen pics off my camera and onto the interweb! But since my last post I did the shoot for Fairygothmother/Lulu & Lush on wednesday afternoon. There were loads of beautiful dresses, corsets and bits of lingerie waiting for me to model. I thought it was going to take ages but we actually managed to get through everything in only 4 hours. As well as shooting,
iberianblackart also did my hair and makeup, I had finger waves in my hair and the makeup was very bright blue (I kept it all on for the train back to London afterwards, it was so nice I couldn't bare to take it off even though I probably looked a bit silly in my comfy travelling clothes!).
I stayed in London in the evening so I could get my roots done yesterday.
goth_amalthea came with me and we drank cappucino and did a little window shopping before I caught the train home in the evening. So today is my first day off, and my first day home in 9 days. I think I'm pretty much caught up on emails and stuff now. Had some really exciting proposals waiting for me when I got back. I'll be shooting a new collection for Angels Carrying Savage Weapons corsetry in a couple of months, will be going to LA for several cool shoots pretty soon and I've also been contacted by a new makeup brand and will be shooting some of thier products quite soon! They do nice crazy bright colours, the best kind :)
And, last but not least, a whole host of new pics shot for Lady Lucie Latex & Corsets. I had so much fun shooting these! The green ones in particular amuse me, for reasons known only to a few people :p You can kinda see my new blonde bits too.

I arrived back in London last night after getting the coach from Paris. The fashion show for
hurtmeso went really well, the whole weekend was pretty cool! I have a lot of fun photos and backstage pics to post but I haven't got anything to get the images off my camera at the moment (won't be home until tomorrow). I guess I'll write a proper account of the weekend once I post those photos :)
Just sitting in the internet cafe opposite
goth_amaltheas house catching up on various emails and stuff. I got a copy of the new issue of Bizarre Magazine last night, my interview thing looks pretty good! I'm heading up the feature on the "world's hottest alt models" (also featured are Scar13, Maureen Van Mortis, Koneko and KandyK). I was pleasantly surprised that they were very faithful to what I actually said instead of editing quotes and making me sound moronic like other interviews I've done *cough* Front Magazine *cough* lol.

Then I'm off to Colchester this afternoon to shoot some lovely corsets with
iberianblackart for Fairy Goth Mother. Fairygothmother was the first ever clothing company that I modelled for (and the first time I ever wore latex!), I'm really excited to be shooting for them again after so long :)

The weather is glorious today! It has been for the past couple of days. It's amazing how bright sunshine and singing birds through the open window can make me feel so uplifted!
Today I have the images of the first look from the shoot I wrote about in my last post. The one where we were working at TG the night before and only got 3 hours sleep. They didn't turn out too bad considering! :) That birdcage on my head was so painful though. I had to lie my head down on the end of the sofa in between sets.

I also did the retouching (as you can probably tell cos it's a bit rushed in places!).
In other random news, I'm published in Bizarre Magazine this month for a feature on Girl Armour. The pic they used was shot way back during that brief period where I had purple/magenta hair. Due to the handy LJ tags feature I discovered this was in January 2006! There's a small scan of it here if anyone wants to see. I also just found out (thanks Lilbittydemon!) I was published in the January 09 issue of FHM Magazine (Estonia edition!) for a feature on Perry Gallagher (scan here). The FHMs of Europe seem much more fond of latex than the UK!
Oh while I'm here (I guess I should have wrote sooner!) - most muffins knew before I did, but just to clarify - I won't be touring with Emilie Autumn for this tour starting today. As much as I would have loved to meet everyone, it is US crumpets only this time! I'm sure everyone will enjoy it anyway! :) And I'm sorry I haven't replied to many messages about it, I've just been away without internet access quite a lot recently. And also it seems whenever I write anything EA related, be it on my public profiles or even in private messages, it ends up being reposted or paraphrased on the EA forum. While I know it's not intended to, it kinda makes me feel awkward! Yeah I'm too sensitive :p

Where to begin! I got back home this afternoon after over 2 weeks away, first in Newcastle as I already mentioned, then since Friday I've been in London. Just spent about 5 hours going through emails and messages on various sites and I'm still not quite caught up!
Friday
I arrived in London in the morning, dropped my luggage off at
goth_amaltheas new house then back on the bus to Kingston to get my colour re-done at Matropolis. They changed me from the bright red back to copper, had to pre-lighten first to remove the excess red, the result being that the copper went on extremely vibrant. I love it! It's pretty much back to the same colour as my avatar now, except without the yellow tones. After that I went back to the house and met up with
uglydiamond who was also staying over. We had takeaway curry and watched Stardust, was great. I don't get enough girly nights in.
Saturday & Sunday
Saturday was pretty hectic! In the afternoon I was shooting for a gorgeous boutique in Kingly Court called Nikita Sablier. I arrived a bit early so I had coffee and icecream downstairs. While I was there I had to take a photo of the coffee shop as they had a wonderful display of colourful cupcakes in the window! I modelled a beautiful bridal outfit and then quite a few pinup style dresses and lingerie. I seem to be getting booked for loads of pinup stuff recently, which I find so weird as I have never promoted myself as a pinup model! But it is fun, and an interesting contrast to my personal punk(ish)/80s style.
( some colourful cupcakes and pics me inside the boutique's look-book )
After the shoot I headed off to east London to meet up with Paul of Lacing Lilith and the other models who I was doing the Torture Garden fashion show with that evening. Had a quick fitting then we all jumped in 2 taxis to Brixton to rehearse the show. The overall theme was medical, which was great as it allowed me to bring my crutches to help me do the show wearing ballet heels! lol. I did get some odd looks earlier in the day carrying around a pair of crutches for no apparent reason.
( here are the first couple of pics I've found rom the show so far )
There are also a couple of behind-the-scenes pics on
sohuiiis journal :)
I do hope someone got some full length shots of me stumbling around in the ballet heels otherwise I suffered for nothing! I think it was one of the most difficult shows I've done, not just because of the shoes but also the combination of corset and neck corset, and the giant blob wig which was not at all well secured. I had to do the whole thing with my head tipped at an angle to stop it falling off! ><.
The show was at 2am. Afterwards I went straight back to
goth_amaltheas with
ruby_redxxx as we were both shooting at 10am the next (same!) day. Several night buses later and I got to bed about 4am. For some reason it took me ages to fall asleep and in the end I got about 3 hours sleep before getting up for the photoshoot, again for Lacing Lilith.
rootofsilence was shooting and myself,
sohuiii and
ruby_redxxx each modelled 2 outfits. I had a birdcage attached to my head, which was possibly the heaviest and most painful hairdo I've ever had (and that's saying something!). Was still very cool though :)
Monday
On Monday I was shooting with
iberianblackart on a really exciting new shoot for Girl Armour. It's been a long time since I last worked with Morgana and I was really looking forward to it. Firstly we did 3 or 4 outfits with a soft 'playful' look and then 3 more with a darker look. Morgana did all the hair and makeup herself, I was so impressed with how good it was too! And I've already been sent a few images :)

First things first - OMG it's so cold here. Am using free wifi in Newcastle train station, I can barely feel my fingers. Have been back in Newcastle now since Monday. In only 3 days I have reverted to a strong Geordie accent, I feel like it's a defense mechanism to convince people that I am 'one of them'! lol.
I grabbed a copy of the new issue of Photo Pro Magazine from WHSmith's yesterday. Well done to Trevor Yerbury for getting the cover and a 6 page feature! Extra cool is that the image chosen for the cover was shot in about 10 minutes last month in one of the back stairwells at the SWPP convention! Wearing the now rather infamous Lacing Lilith dress :)

As well as the cover I'm also on a double page image and 3 smaller images inside the mag (there's also 2 gorgeous full pages of Lozie, also shot at the convention! I haven't got a scanner here but will try and scan it when I get home next week.
I may have other shiny new pics to post but email checking is proving difficult with people looking over my shoulder.
Since beginning typing I have now migrated to the significantly warmer train to Glasgow, where I'm shooting today. Fingers defrosting is slightly painful!
/edit. Mostly caught up on reading 3 days of LJ friend's entries now. Just noticed on Trevor's blog that one of his pics of me was chosen to hang at the 09 Seattle Erotic Art Festival. "one of 215 pieces chosen from 2,100 submissions we received from 530 artists in 38 states and 29 countries". Awesome! :)

I ended up not getting to Birmingham today after missing the coach yesterday evening, spent the evening stuffing my face with pancakes instead though so not all bad!
Shooting with Tony Rusecki went really well. I can't remember the last time we worked together but it must have been almost 2 years! Firstly we shot some of Tony's funny ideas (I was posing with tomato soup with a big grin on my face...) wearing some vintage dresses from The Girl Can't Help It. The second part of the shoot I was modelling some new designs for What Katie Did with a sailor theme. They were so cute! I attempted smiley pinup facial expressions with mixed results! lol.
It was also the first time that I've visited Alfie's Antique Market (where Tony's studio is now based). What a wonderful place! I arrived a little early so had a chance to have a very quick look around. I could have spent the best part of a day there! It's full of different antique shops as well as various vintage clothing, furniture and accessories shops, jam packed in every available space with cool stuff. Definitely recommended as a day out if you like this sort of thing. Nina's hair parlour is also based there. Perfect! There was a small cafe on the top floor too, which surprised me with the extremely good 'blackened cajun salmon with fries' that I had for lunch. I think I'm going to have to go back there with my sister for a day out of hair-dos, vintage shopping and nice food.
I forgot to mention on my rather brief overview of the FOCUS convention that I bumped into Trevor and Faye Yerbury who had driven down from Edinburgh. They pointed me in the direction of Mario Acerbonis stand, as he had made several sample books around the Yerbury's work and a few images of me were included. Sad thing that I am, I took some photos :) I'm afraid my photography skills are not good...

( once more with boobies... )
Trevor also told me that one of their images of me is going to be on the cover of Photo Pro Magazine next month along with a 6 page feature about their recent work, which is rather exciting! :)

Not sure if I've posted this in the past, but any 80s/childhood nostalgia fans should pop over to Truffle Shuffle. So much stuff I want! Particularly the KiaOra TShirt and Wizard of Oz purse. The Jammy Dodger necklace is awesome too. I'm so easily won over by material things relating to childhood.
Today I'm mostly doing housework. I'm also going to make my own vegetable soup shortly. I called my mum earlier to ask how she makes it, she makes the best home-made soup (I think lots of pepper is the key). I always ask her to make a huge pan of it when I visit home and the first thing I do when I get in the house is eat 2-3 bowls full. I have turned soft since moving down south and can no longer cope with the northern weather coupled with my parents' lack of central heating! I think I will be back in the North East in early March, just got booked for a shoot in Darlington then and they're covering all travel expenses. Yay!
I shot my new HMS Latex dress a couple of days ago with
rootofsilence. It was just a quick shoot to try out this new tinsel background but I rather like the results :)

I also just got this one from my shoot for Switchphotography which is pretty cool! I was going for a sort of semi-80s punkish disco sequin and spandex overload (Yeah I've had that same jewellry in my makeup bag for a while now! lol).

These past few days have mostly seen me becoming far too well aquainted with the more remote and unstaffed train stations of Southern England. On Saturday I was shooting with Aaron of Switchphotography Studios in Ford. Where you ask? It's actually not far from Brighton in West Sussex but I am a cheap train ticket hunter and went for the 2 changes at Westbury (small but fairly normal station) and Fareham (tiny station with no indoor waiting area) to get there. To be fair compared to today these were pretty cvilised stations, they just had an unusual over-abundance of children getting off each train, and I had a 50 minute wait for my connections and there was no indoor waiting room).
The shoot itself was great fun, Aaron wanted to take a bunch of headshots of me doing 'expressions'. It was harder than I thought doing emotions and expressions using only my face. I rely quite a lot of hand gestures and body posing usually. I'll post the results when I have 'em :)
Today I was working in Poole with Scott Chappell. Poole itself is a fairly decent sized place very close to Bournemouth (only about 2.5 hours to drive to) but unfortunately on yet another crazy-links train route. Thankfully my outward journey was pretty well timed but my return journey involved 3 connections with waiting times of 45mins, 1 hour and then another 45mins which was extended to over an hour as that train was delayed. The second connection in particular was especially hellish as it was at the rickety little station known as Dorchester West (reached after walking down the road from the Dorchester South station). Fairly average looking at first glance, Dorchester West in fact turned out to not even have a clock, nevermind anything to tell me when/where then next train was and no waiting room or toilet. I spent an hour walking up and down the platform trying to keep warm and then I watched a spider picking bits of paint off it's web. I think it was as bored as I was.
Though I like to complain about my awful experiences with public transport, I don't mind really :) I enjoy travelling, I just keep forgetting my book and really need to add new songs to my ipod. I'm even starting to get sick of my 80s cheese playlist. And the shoot went well, which is always satisfying. I think Scott must have been happy with the results too as he already posted a bunch on Flickr by the time I got home! This one is my favourite so far:

I did my makeup on the train in the morning to pass the time. I hardly ever use brown shades, then by happy coincidence Scott's setup was all brown and mahogany :)
No more shoots now until Feb, firstly the Yerbury Workshop, then I have shoots booked with John Tisbury, some hair presentation and show for Robert and 2 days in Ireland with Ciaran Whyte. There's a possiblity I may also be doing a few days working at the 2009 Focus show (but that is still to be confirmed). Feb is usually so quiet!

December has gone by so quickly, it completely escaped me that Christmas is this week. In time honoured tradition I haven't done any shopping yet. I find it so difficult to think of good presents for my family and friends ><. I'm going to Bath for the day tomorrow to meet up with a good friend from University, we shall drink mulled wine and eat roast chestnuts and then I will pick his brains for gift suggestions! lol.
Since my last post, I did what was probably my last 'proper' shoot of 2008, a rather odd shoot modelling for a 2009 calender for Redmount International Ltd (a Cardiff based garage equipment supplier). I say odd as I was booked directly by the photographer, who didn't tell me there would be 2 other photographers there jumping in to take pictures between the actual calendar shots (I've no idea why or what for!). And also, I was wearing my own black and red latex outfits, which matched quite nicely with the sets, but there were 4 other models wearing really mismatched outfits, none of us matched each other at all. It would have been much cooler with proper styling and wardobe. I want to be an Art Director! lol.
And, more random pics.. I was supposed to post this wonderful HMS Latex dress to
catherineday when I got home from Lille last week but I was so knackered I totally forgot (sorry again ><), so I was a little cheeky and wore it for some experimental fun shots I wanted to do on the weekend with a 'red' theme. It's amazing what a difference standing up straight makes to hiding pot-belly! hehe.

/edit: after a couple of comments on deviantart, I will add that I haven't dyed my hair red again, it's just a wig (though if I had the ability to grow my hair this long and this thick overnight, I'd change the colour every day!)
And being a shiny latex alien looking thing for High Gloss Dolls :)

I sold my Plague Rats drawing this week (see
miss_charlotina). I will be a little sad to part with this one, it's one of my favourite recent works. But it's a very nice feeling when people want to buy my art work :) I'm still planning on doing a whole series along the same theme (one for each of the Bloody Crumpets) but I'm slow and have only half finished one other so far.
I got a copy of Front Magazine today, and although it isn't as bad as I was expecting (actually a couple of the pictures are quite funny), I'm still not pleased about being described as a 'myspace first timer' and they have mis-quoted my interview answers too. But it's not the end of the world.
Tomorrow I'm off to Reading to stay with
goth_amalthea as I'm shooting not far from her house the next day. I think we're going to go to the cinema and eat lots of popcorn :)
madamebink has also bullied asked me (:p) to go to a net-model.com socialising event on Saturday evening so might be popping along to that if I don't finish shooting too late.
Last of all for now, thought I'd post a couple more pics from the Lady Lucie shoot as I'm incredibly fond of bright orange on white :)

Went to London on Saturday to get my roots done and ended up getting a new cut and (slightly different) colour courtesy of Robert Masciave. I think it may well be my favourite hair cut ever. It's the shortest I've ever had it (on one side anyway!). It's kind of David Bowie vs Mad Max (see LJ icon!). Met up briefly with
wryterra beforehand, who informed me I was on some posters at the Erotica event for Angelic Weapons, and also on the cover of a mini bridal catalogue/flyer thing they were giving out, yay! ^^
Had a shoot on Sunday with Rebecca Parkes wearing some amazing clothes from Samantha Cole London. The theme was black and white so I had to have my hair spray painted black underneath the hair pieces. I looked rather silly on the train home but was worth it! With the combination of hair, makeup and clothing I bore a rather uncanny resemblance to Siouxsie Sioux :) I've seen some previews but they're hopefully going in a magazine so I will resist posting them for now.
Monday I was shooting with
rootofsilence again, this time for Lady Lucie Latex and Corsets. I did all the styling/makeup/ideas etc myself. Quite pleased with how they turned out. It was quite a challenge as the 3 outfits were all very different and I had 3 very different hair/makeup/themes in mind for them, but only one day in the studio to get it all done. Thanks again to
rootofsilence for letting me totally take over the shoot direction!

I have quite a lot more, will be updating my website tomorrow with them!
In other news, I had a plan today to do housework and other practical things but I seem to have spent the entire day online and wolfing down a whole box of Quality Street. oops. and bleurgh!</lj></lj></lj>

Today I am finally feeling like I'm not ill anymore (except for a lingering sore throat/blocked nose, but I'm pretending that doesn't exist because I'm fed up with being unwell). I had to cancel 2 shoots over the weekend because I was still feeling sick, which extra sucks as they were going to pay my rent money. Probably going to look for a xmas temping job very soon, I forgot how good having a 'proper' job was, where you get paid sick leave etc ><.
Someone from Front Magazine called me yesterday for a mini-interview to go with my pics in the next issue. I was so flu-ridden I don't even know what I said, I just waffled about nothing. I hope I didn't say anything too dumb. I remember using the phrase 'I usually do gothy stuff' when asked how Front was different to what I usually do. Gothy? Oh dear! I'm really bad at talking when put on the spot, even more so when unwell and tired.
Was feeling better by early evening thankfully, and managed to finally shoot this amazing dress from Lacing Lilith (in between coughing fits) - I've had it since the Xpo but with being busy and then ill I didn't get round to finding a suitably cool location to do it justice, so decided my house would have to suffice as I really need to give it back to the designer! I don't think we did too badly considering it's shot in my front room with one light and all styling done myself!

It is such a flattering waist-defining dress, I love it! I was so surprised when I first saw it at the fashion show too, how it is quite similar in style/colour to my Plague Rats drawing that I only finished a week or so before the show.

In a roundabout way wasting time browsing the internet last night, I came across the Wikipedia entry for Generation Y, referring to people who grew up in the 90s, and more specifically to Cold Y Generation, the older members of this group (I fall into this category). I was struck by the description that we were the last generation to have an idea of a pre-informational society (internet etc).
I can still easily remember back to when there was no internet. I didn't get my first brief access to the internet until I was nearly 18, I remember being so amazed and overwhelmed at all the images and information I could find. I was so excited by the whole thing I had a folder on my PC where I saved every single screenshot and image I could find about Sailor Moon (I was very into Anime/Manga at the time but it was still fairly hard to find).
I can also clearly recall the time before mobile phones were common (or existed at all), when a girl at my high school got bullied for being 'posh' after she offered to let someone use hers to call their parents. I guess people probably get bullied in high school now if they don't own one.
It's weird to think people only a few years younger than me will never know a society without the internet, mobile phones etc. I guess most people who read my LJ are around my age or older though?
Other than those random musings, I was shooting yesterday in the New Forest again, this time with Tony Nutley. Mostly art nude stuff with a bit of latex.
goth_amalthea gave me a lovely pair of trans green Libidex stockings she doesn't wear anymore that matched the forest nicely. I'm usually fine with the cold but for some reason I really suffered yesterday, I felt like I wasn't working at my best but the photographer seemed pleased with the shoot.
I was supposed to be shooting tomorrow too but I forgot to contact the photographer to confirm details so I'm not sure if it's happening anymore. Have been a bit bad with getting back to people lately for some reason. Maybe time for a few days break. I am also shooting on Sunday with
rootofsilence for a new collection of stuff for Drac In a Box, which I'm looking forward to. It will be one of those shoots where I get to do my own styling and ideas and have a bit of creativity.
Not much else to waffle about for now. Thought I would post this nice shiny pic though, from the Fetish Fashion Fuel workshop. I cropped it to make it fit my myspace and LJ without stretching the page, the original is on my website here :) It reminds me a little of the advertising work by Erwin Olaf (one of my favourite artists, well worth checking out).

Resuming normal service...!
Just had my info through from Nevs for Salon International. Looks like I'm doing 3 days not 2 like I thought, which is cool. 7.45am call time at Excel though, eek! Not sure what Tigi are doing with my hair this time but I guess it will involve cutting and colour. There's been no mention of catwalk so maybe it will just be a demonstration while I stand there trying not to giggle. Robert is going to be doing a demonstration there too with
gothamalthea as his model so we're all going to meet up afterwards :)
I got a new picture from Katja Ehrhardt today with the beautiful long electric blue dress she called the 'Ulorin' dress. I love it but my facial expression is so grumpy. lol. I'm told it may be printed in a magazine from Capetown (!!) but don't know which magazine or what for yet.

Did I ever write about the massive quantities of blackberries I picked from around that derelict building near where I live? It was like the whole place was slowly being taken over by blackberry bushes, I've never seen so many in one place. Many blackberry pies were made. And more berries are in my freezer. Completely not relevant to anything in particular, was just remembering. I might be shooting there again tomorrow, wondering if I can bring a box along and get some more :)
