Lady in Red

December has gone by so quickly, it completely escaped me that Christmas is this week. In time honoured tradition I haven't done any shopping yet. I find it so difficult to think of good presents for my family and friends ><. I'm going to Bath for the day tomorrow to meet up with a good friend from University, we shall drink mulled wine and eat roast chestnuts and then I will pick his brains for gift suggestions! lol.

Since my last post, I did what was probably my last 'proper' shoot of 2008, a rather odd shoot modelling for a 2009 calender for Redmount International Ltd (a Cardiff based garage equipment supplier). I say odd as I was booked directly by the photographer, who didn't tell me there would be 2 other photographers there jumping in to take pictures between the actual calendar shots (I've no idea why or what for!). And also, I was wearing my own black and red latex outfits, which matched quite nicely with the sets, but there were 4 other models wearing really mismatched outfits, none of us matched each other at all. It would have been much cooler with proper styling and wardobe. I want to be an Art Director! lol.

And, more random pics.. I was supposed to post this wonderful HMS Latex dress to [info]catherineday when I got home from Lille last week but I was so knackered I totally forgot (sorry again ><), so I was a little cheeky and wore it for some experimental fun shots I wanted to do on the weekend with a 'red' theme. It's amazing what a difference standing up straight makes to hiding pot-belly! hehe.

/edit: after a couple of comments on deviantart, I will add that I haven't dyed my hair red again, it's just a wig (though if I had the ability to grow my hair this long and this thick overnight, I'd change the colour every day!)

Resuming normal service...!

Just had my info through from Nevs for Salon International. Looks like I'm doing 3 days not 2 like I thought, which is cool. 7.45am call time at Excel though, eek! Not sure what Tigi are doing with my hair this time but I guess it will involve cutting and colour. There's been no mention of catwalk so maybe it will just be a demonstration while I stand there trying not to giggle. Robert is going to be doing a demonstration there too with [info]gothamalthea as his model so we're all going to meet up afterwards :)

I got a new picture from Katja Ehrhardt today with the beautiful long electric blue dress she called the 'Ulorin' dress. I love it but my facial expression is so grumpy. lol. I'm told it may be printed in a magazine from Capetown (!!) but don't know which magazine or what for yet.

Did I ever write about the massive quantities of blackberries I picked from around that derelict building near where I live? It was like the whole place was slowly being taken over by blackberry bushes, I've never seen so many in one place. Many blackberry pies were made. And more berries are in my freezer. Completely not relevant to anything in particular, was just remembering. I might be shooting there again tomorrow, wondering if I can bring a box along and get some more :)

I don't think I wrote about it here, but move moving to London is (almost certainly) postponed temporarily. There are a number of reasons, not least being issues with funding for my Masters so I am going to have to defer my entry until September 09. The Masters was one of the major reasons I was moving. I also have the opportunity to go to Sydney and Hong Kong early next year for an extended trip, and it just wouldn't be possible if I was studying. I really love travelling and it's not likely I'll be in the position to do extended travelling once I'm studying again (certainly not as far as Australia anyway) or once I've finished the course and have to start paying back loans!

I found a couple of images from the shoot I wrote about yesterday at The Glasshouse in Edinburgh. I didn't realise the photographer had a blog. I've added it to LJ now: [info]yerbury_photo :)

Uber pouty lips of doom. Random awesome fact: Fraulein Ehrhardt have named thier latest dress design after me! :D (See it HERE)

There are several more images (including a funny behind the scenes one) on Trevor's blog here and here (some nudity).

I bought the latest issue of Alternative Magazine to read on the train home from the shoot and was rather interested in the 'News' section at the back, which was reporting on discrimination laws and how having an alternative appearance isnt covered by them. The bit that kind of annoyed me was the ending paragraph, it was supposed to be about the positive side to looking 'alternative' and it used modelling as an example. They had a quote from a professional alt male model "It's the easiest job on the planet and I get to look at half naked people all day" (or something similar). I couldn't tell if it was meant to be tongue-in-cheek or not. I do hope it was.. I don't want to come across as some sort of snob, but 'easy' isn't a word I'd use to describe any sort of professional modelling. I think people saying stuff like that gives such the wrong impression to aspiring models . Not to mention the 'I get to look at naked people all day' bit is kinda lame :/ I'm not sure why is bugged me so much. I guess because I rather like the magazine.

I love this photo :) I really like all the images I've seen from this shoot actually but I'm not posting them all yet (Though I did post one already last week here).

I was supposed to be shooting today but the photographer cancelled at the last minute. I wasn't too bothered until I noticed my bank balance today is significantly less than I thought it was :( I'll have to go check it out on monday as I can't think why it would be, unless someone has stolen my card details (again. sigh).

Have started watching the new seasons of Stargate Atlantis, Heroes, Dexter and Prison Break. Hurrah for September/October, the beginning of new TV series :) Tonight I am going to eat steak with peppercorn sauce, drink a glass of white wine and watch Bridge to Terabithia and then possibly 300.

Urgh. I'm so ill today :( I was a bit unwell yesterday but dragged myself to work to catch up on stuff, but I just couldn't do it today, I could barely stand up this morning. I can't stop coughing and it really hurts my throat/chest. I hope it doesn't last too long :( I need some hot chicken soup and hugs. le sigh.

But on a more cheery note, I have seen the pics I did last week with [info]stevedietgoedde and they're really cool. This was our third time shooting together but the first time I've done my own hair/makeup. I quite like the way it looks a bit more 'natural'. Here's a preview:

Though not really a 'preview' cos most of the other pics were outside on a horse ranch in the blazing sunshine :D But there's just something I like about this one.

Today mostly sees me extremely busy at work (not at the UGLY agency interview where I would have liked to have been. le sigh. maybe next year!). Am attempting to make some time to act in my new voluntary role as 'Energy Champion' for the office (basically trying to encourage all my colleagues to switch things off to save energy. You wouldn't believe how much is wasted here). Sadly I feel like most of them don't really care but at least I'm trying my best.

Couple of things cheered me up today though. Exciting email from Angelic Weapons. I will have a couple of preview pics to show off soon, and they also suggested a great idea which I will keep quiet about for now but will be super cool! :)

Also, seems I will be doing a shoot on the weekend for artist Insa's Grafitti Fetish project. I've actually been a fan of his work for quite a while already so it's going to be pretty awesome to be a part of it.

And.... some pretty new pickies from Katja Ehrhardt

The lovely friendly ginger kitty that was an occasional visitor to my house has in the last few weeks started turning up everyday when I get home from work, meowing at the back door until I let it in. It's lying upside down on my feet on the sofa at the moment, purring and generally being adorable. I'll be really sad to say goodbye to it when we move.

Tracking on my parcel now says it only arrived in the country today at 5.30pm. arrgh at the post. The Exeter depot at least now says 'in progress' though, so I'm hoping I'll be able to go there and collect it tomorrow *fingers crossed*.

And here is a new pic by Katja Ehrhardt. Pretty shinyness! Why am I always doing that tugging-at-bra-strap thing!

omg another update from that girl with red hair. make her go away! But anyway, how cute is this new pic from Katja Ehrhardt :) I feel I must point out, that not only did she shoot the pretty shiny pic, she also did all the hair styling and makeup at the shoot, and makes all the latex clothing too! :)

On a totally unrelated note, I went to the exotic pet place yesterday to get frog food. I've decided I'm going to get a new tarantula, but haven't decided which species yet. They only had spiderlings in at the moment though, I'll wait until they have some juveniles instead. I also had to resist the urge to blow my money on a new tank and set up for the most adorable new frog species they had in - a Tomato Frog! Omg it was so cute and round with huge eyes. And as a bonus, almost matches my hair colour :D

German Fetish Ball weekend has crept up horribly quickly. I fly out on thursday late afternoon with [info]rootofsilence, who is finishing off prints for his exhibition as I type :) Thanks to my nagging asking kindly, I have an image to post from the shoot we did on Friday to produce new images for it. This one wont be used as it's landscape so it's ok to post. Other new pics of me and several other models will debut at the exhibition *boogie*

Sorry for messing up width of peoples' friends' pages. It looks better bigger though :)

Dunno if anyone remembers last year I wrote about doing some promo work at the 2006 Erotica Summer Ball (link). I only just found some pics on myspace. They're pretty funny/bad. I was being a bit daft all evening and had flashing lights pasties stuffed down the cups in the dress I was wearing.

and omg there is the most adorable ginger kitty in my flat right now. It came in the front door and doesn't seem to want to leave. It keep purring and rolling around on the floor next to where I'm sitting =^^=

I'm so hungry this afternoon for some reason. Maybe because I've started walking to work again. I want to go home early and cook a big bowl of chilli. I also wish I had a garden so I could go and sit in the sunshine and paint. The seaside, icecreams and fish/chips/mushy peas beckon this bank holiday weekend. *loves the good weather* Lots of random 'I want' thoughts there.

Katja sent me a copy of German Playboy and Heavy Rubber Magazines which arrived yesterday. Still amused that my picture is in Playboy, however small it is. The Heavy Rubber spread is pretty hot. Sweat melted makeup under transparent sleeveless face-covered hood outfit. Yum. It's actually my first proper picture spread in a magazine (except maybe the 3 page interview in ETO Magazine 2 years ago). They put my website in there too :)

I did little scans of the pages if anyone is interested!

The rest are here.

Oh, today I had a casting call to be in a music video for Nightwish, but alas it requires being able to play an instrument. Damn it. Yet again I wish I knew how to play any kind of musical instrument. Would have been rather cool!

lol. Not quite. But yesterday I started my tooth whitening treatment from the dentist (I decided after all the fiasco with my chipped tooth I may as well get them whitened before I get the veneer). I have a perfect mould of my teeth, it's kinda weird :D I dunno how long I can keep it up for though, it's supposed to take about a month and I'm not supposed to eat any curry, drink tea etc. Considering I have takeaway curry on average once a week, this will take effort. One of these days I will start taking care of myself.

I don't think I posted these pics by [info]stevedietgoedde before? I like Steve even more now for managing to make my butt look so good. I'm sure it doesn't really look like this :D Satellite dish courtesy of Beatrice Neuman's rooftop and a silly sense of humour ;p

1 more BUTT )

Not much else going on. I have the whole of this coming bank holiday weekend with no shooting. Time for rest and finishing some painting. Maybe have a nice day out if the weather continues to be way-to-warm-for-may!

Oh and congratulations to [info]rootofsilence who has been asked to exhibit at the German Fetish Ball weekend! xx

For the first time in my life that I can recall, I have won a random competition I entered! I won a free stay in a luxury hotel in Brighton :) I'm so surprised though, to enter I had to write a description of what my perfect evening out for a meal would be like. Being an extreme enthusiast for good food and dining, I ended up writing a whole side of A4 with a load of waffle about everything from lighting to room temperature to what kind of chair I wanted to sit on. haha

On a different note, I'm becoming increasingly bored with my day job. It was ok when I was still learning how to do stuff but now it's just incredibly tedious and requires no brain power at all anymore :/ I really need to force myself to apply for the Masters course I want to do this year, instead of putting it off yet again.

And here is a perfect picture of me looking bored, courtesy of [info]maximsphotos. If only I could wear the outfit to work, maybe I would enjoy it more :)

stick arms for teh win!

Ooh, and I'm shooting tomorrow with Emma Delves Broughton. It is almost exactly a year ago this month since we worked together *scary time flies moment*

Edit: There is a little picture of me in the latest edition of German Playboy Magazine. Never thought I'd be able to say that! tis for an article about High Gloss Dolls. (here's a scan katja sent me: http://ulorinvex.com/images/galleries/playboyde.jpg)

fetish fantasies issue 5 cover

I got this german party guide thing in the post this morning:

I knew about it a little while ago as Katja had asked me if I minded my pic being on the cover. Would have been quite cool if not for the icky cut out job on the hair and orange (orange!) background. Why oh why! lol. Don't think she was very pleased either. The whole thing I like about that picture was the red/white-ness.

Not quite sure what it is, it looks like some guide to all the fetish clubs/events etc in cities in Germany for the rest of the year, but it's all in German so that's all I know :) They do have a website here but I think it's a little out of date.

In other news, I had a really nice valentines day :) [info]rootofsilence got me a wonderful painting I'd seen in the local art shop. Was totally unexpected and lovely surprise :) We had takeaway indian, bottle of wine, tub of haagen daaz and big bar of galaxy chocolate all snuggled on the sofa watching DVD (don't worry, not a romantic film at all, I'm not that sickening :p).

Just got some of the black and white films shots from [info]stevedietgoedde. Don't they look fab! There's something extra yummy about well done black and white I think. And I love the hairdo. Kinda movie star-like. You can see lots of the rooftop reflected on my torso too :D (Halfords Silicone Spray, my favouite! lol).

I'm so glad I got to do this shoot. Many thanks to Beatrice Neumann, both for the location and letting me know that Steve does in fact live in LA. lol. See more soon over at [info]stevedietgoedde.

On a more mundane note, I still feel poop. Not only that, I managed to chip my tooth again. Well, knocked off the filling. I really should get a veneer to fix it but it's so expensive. meh. I think I'm shooting with [info]goth_amalthea on sunday for What Katie Did. Will keep my mouth firmly shut. Cos I do so many shots with wide toothy smiles normally. lol.
