Got back from LA Monday afternoon after a 24hr+ journey because of delays, though it feels like only a few hours ago that I was at LAX airport
This trip was almost entirely holiday only, though I did shoot with
stevedietgoedde,
venuswept and Taslimur. Had a great time, almost as good as last month's London extravaganza but sadly didn't last as long. Highlights included circus night at the Edison, dinner at The Stinking Rose (omg soo good), a day exploring rockpools at Laguna Beach, day trip to Six Flags (where I screamed in a most girlish manner), hanging out with friends and meeting new people, some good lazing around on the world's comfiest giant beanbag whilst reading, listening and watching some of my favourite films.
Haven't been up to much else really, I've had a bit of a break from shooting. But back into the swing of things from tomorrow and the rest of July. Tomorrow I'm flying to Portugal to shoot for a week! Rather looking forward to that as I've not been to Portugal before (going to Faro, right on the South coast, it's going to be crazy hot!).
In other news, Steve gave me a copy of his GoeddeConcerto CD while I was in LA too...
"Robert Waechter, concertmaster of the Philharmonic Orchestra/Opera de Nice, France, and Steve Diet Goedde, internationally renowned erotic photographer, have released an audio/visual collaboration entitled GoeddeConcerto. The CD features 21 concertos inspired by 21 photographs by Steve Diet Goedde. Robert personally picked the photographs which inspired him and then composed and conducted each individual piece for the CD. The CD contains a 24-page booklet of the photographs to accompany the music."
I have 3 images in the CD booklet from our first ever shoot in September 2007. It really doesn't seem that long ago!

I just got a couple of the new images we shot last week too...

We also shot a gorgeous new dress from HMS Latex, should have those pics soon too! :)

On Tuesday I modelled for another Yerbury Workshop at the beautiful Maunsel House about 10 minutes drive from my house. The last workshop we did there was back in February (linky) when the grounds were covered in snow, so we mostly stayed indoors but this time I spent the majority of the day outdoors.
Arrived around 9am and got ready with Lozie who was also modelling. She introduced me to Vaseline Cocoa Butter body oil which I absolutely have to get some of, it makes a really nice delicate sheen on the skin.
The morning was spent with Trevor giving a talk and then demonstrating how they work, setting up different shots with Lozie and I while the delegates listened and took a few of thier own shots.
Then break for lunch, they provide the most yummy food at Maunsel House! Home-made chicken and mushroom pie with many vegetables and then apple pie and custard for desert. I was pretty hungry and managed two helpings of main course and also polished off desert (and this was after eating plenty of coconut biscuits on the coffee breaks earlier! I think modelling naked makes me more hungry than usual!). I love the room that lunch is served in at Maunsel too, it's like a small bar with stone walls all totally covered in antique weapons and taxidermy mounts. I need to take some photos if I'm there again sometime!
After lunch the delegates split into two groups (one indoor group with Trevor and one outdoor group with Faye) and got to set up thier own shots and try out what they had learned in the morning. I modelled for both outdoor groups, really enjoying the mild weather. The wind was slightly chilly but I totally forget about that once I get into posing. Managed to get a little more scraped than I intended by doing odd poses on my shoulders on the hard groud (but it looked cool, this is the important thing!) and went home feeling tired but satisfied that I had done a good job. Muscles aching slightly the next day, but in that good way that means I wored hard!
There are several of Trevor ad Faye's images already up on their blog, I think this one is my favourite of me so far :)

Still hunting for a way to get Essen pics off my camera and onto the interweb! But since my last post I did the shoot for Fairygothmother/Lulu & Lush on wednesday afternoon. There were loads of beautiful dresses, corsets and bits of lingerie waiting for me to model. I thought it was going to take ages but we actually managed to get through everything in only 4 hours. As well as shooting,
iberianblackart also did my hair and makeup, I had finger waves in my hair and the makeup was very bright blue (I kept it all on for the train back to London afterwards, it was so nice I couldn't bare to take it off even though I probably looked a bit silly in my comfy travelling clothes!).
I stayed in London in the evening so I could get my roots done yesterday.
goth_amalthea came with me and we drank cappucino and did a little window shopping before I caught the train home in the evening. So today is my first day off, and my first day home in 9 days. I think I'm pretty much caught up on emails and stuff now. Had some really exciting proposals waiting for me when I got back. I'll be shooting a new collection for Angels Carrying Savage Weapons corsetry in a couple of months, will be going to LA for several cool shoots pretty soon and I've also been contacted by a new makeup brand and will be shooting some of thier products quite soon! They do nice crazy bright colours, the best kind :)
And, last but not least, a whole host of new pics shot for Lady Lucie Latex & Corsets. I had so much fun shooting these! The green ones in particular amuse me, for reasons known only to a few people :p You can kinda see my new blonde bits too.

Had a great day out today at Lyme Regis, strolling along the sunny seafront eating fish & chips (extra salt & vinegar). Also got 2 bags of fudge and a bag of coconut ice. Only got through the coconut ice so far, saving the fudge for after dinner (Spatchcock Poussin with roast potatoes, just gone in the oven and smells great). I really love typical traditional days out at the seaside. Next on my list is fairground, with candyfloss in there somewhere.
After the past couple of weeks hectic shooting and travelling extravaganza I'm really enjoying a small break. No more bookings now until next weekend. Working with the Yerburys again too on the 30th, for one of their 'boudoir' seminars, this time in Leicester.
Which reminds me, I think I totally forgot to post the rest of the images from our last shoot, with the bob wigs, HMS Latex dresses and other bits and pieces. I don't think I would even have recognised myself!

Also just had confirmation that the interview I did for Bizarre Magazine will be in the next issue (will have Mosh on the cover). No idea yet what sort of size feature it is but should be cool! Once again I just wrote down answers spontaneously as I thought of them and probably make no sense!
Not long now till I'm in Essen for Fetish Evolution either (April 10th-13th). I'll be doing a fashion show for HMS Latex, which will be extra cool as my sister is coming too, it's been forever since we did any fashion shows together. Can't wait to see what I'll be wearing!

Hope everyone had a nice St Valentine's day, if you're into that sort of thing! I made use of my National Trust membership and had a day out at Castle Drogo, known as the last castle to be built in England. Though it's more of a folly than a real castle. It was still cool. Went on a small rooftop tour with amazing views out over Dartmoor. The highlight of this was meeting the castle kitty which had decided to venture out on to the roof :)
Being a little spoilt for choice on pics to post today. First pics from my recent shoot with John Tisbury. It's been a long time since I shot anything remotely involving bondage, though obviously this was much more decorative than serving any restrictive purpose!

( several more with less odd posing...! )
And secondly, I just got sent some preview images from another of the photographers, Viran De Silver, who shot me at the Yerbury Workshop at Maunsel House (hopefully it's obvious by now why I kept pimping this workshop so much! :)

I was quite pleased with the makeup on that last one (did it myself with some new stuff I got in the sales).

This is going to be a bit of a picture orientated, lacking in text kind of post. I realised I've been hoarding new pics and some pretty tearsheet type things as I didn't have time to update properly while I was away.
Since I got back from France I keep trying to type like I'm still using the French keyboard, especially the number keys! It's odd how quickly I trained myself to change typing habits!
I'm loving this new pic from my recent shoot with
jasontang :)

If only there had been a video camera to film me when I stood back up out of this pose. I totally lost my balance and went stumbling rapidly off the platform with my arms flailing everywhere and nearly pulled the whole thing down.
I also really like this new pic from a shoot I did for photographer Pete Marsh. He usually specialises in black & white or sepia toned images and this was an experimental shoot for him. I just love pale skin shot against white backgrounds contrasted with red/orange hair :) Kind of reminds me of the Fifth Element.

In other news, I have an interview/feature in the debut issue of Lipstick Royalty Magazine this month, it's just an online-only magazine but they wrote such nice things about me, it was nice to read. Was also nice to not have my words or answers changed for once! And also a full page in the new issue of Gazelland Magazine - awesome magazine mostly dedicated to pictures of pretty androgynous creatures and arty types in crazy excessive makeup and styling! :)
Rather than repost the pics and stuff if anyone is interested most of them are on my website here except the Gazelland page which is on my myspace.
Oh, is anyone going to Torture Garden for NYE? I can't decide what I'm doing!

Me without lots of makeup and fancy shiny clothes, yet not draped naked over a pretty landscape.. it's been a while! I've been feeling a little disatisfied with my modelling stuff lately, I guess because I've been doing it full time it's seems like I keep doing the same thing over and over (even though I do make a big effort to bring something different to each shoot, it's difficult). Anyhoo I was really wanting to do something different, simple, minimal styling/makeup. They turned out pretty much how I was imagining/feeling in my head, which is rare and pleasing.

I love these tights, I've had them for something like 3 years and this is only the 3rd time I've worn them cos I don't want to spoil them. lol
Thanks to
rootofsilence for shooting my random whims, you are awesome.
I left my mobile phone at a studio last week and they haven't posted it back to me yet. It's starting to get really difficult to arrange details of shoots and accomodation/important stuff I have booked next week, I forget how much I rely on my mobile :(
I shot at the blackberry place again today but most of the blackberries were too ripe for picking now, nevermind! I still have some in the feezer from last time!

Hello dear LJ, how I have abandoned thee. It's probably only been a few days (I haven't checked) but feels like I haven't updated in ages. I've been in the house still trying to get over this weird cold/flu thing that has persisted for over 2 weeks.
Thanks to Benylin and some paracetamol it's seems to be clearing up now, at last so should be all good and shiny for the Xpo. I almost forgot I'm also doing a workshop on the sunday at Switch Photography Studio. The photographer is Tony Nutley so should be pretty cool :)
Oh, don't know if anyone remembers me posting about a seller on ebay who sold me a fake DVD? They have another ebay account and are now selling the DVDs using images hotlinked from my website! (It's a hairdressing DVD). My site doesn't actually allow hotlinking so the images are all broken but it still made me laugh. People can be so dumb.
I was interviewed by a large french art nude site recently. The interview isn't up yet as I guess it's being translated, but they put a small 'coming soon' thing up on thier main page and I got a ridiculous amount of hits on my website from it. I actually went over my (pretty big) monthly bandwidth allowance for the first time I can remember since I got linked on Fleshbot (3 years ago!). lol. I'll post the english version of the interview up once the french version is online. My answers were a bit long and waffling. I usually only write one or two senetences when I get interviewed but I had a look at the other models and they all had massive paragraphs so I felt maybe I should write more (but I kinda suck at writing stuff like that).
New pic by Mick Waghorne that I'm quite fond of:

Haven't been up to much else that I can remember. Been getting lots of drawing done now I don't have a day job, which is really great. Trying out some new media and a slightly different more colorful style. Will try and get more of it posted over at
miss_charlotina soon.

goth_amalthea but she has dumped me in front of the interwebz at the University while she goes to some meeting. That's as far as I got yesterday! I'm still finding that shimmery stuff I covered myself in everywhere.
I also wanted to share some more images from Simon Richardson
( under the cut, quite large pics )
I seem to be doing quite a lot of hiding my face for some reason!
There are quite a few more on my website here too though cos I couldn't make up my mind which I liked best.
I posted a couple on deviantart yesterday and was absolutely amazed to sign in this morning and find 'Fire Inside' had over 800 favs. My art nude images are usually pretty much overlooked on deviantart compared to the other stuff I do so I was rather happy about it. I know 'popularity' isn't really important but it is nice to have some recognition every now and then, especially on stuff I'm proud of.

This week is the first week in about 3 months when I've had absolutely no bookings or anything to do. I should be more bothered but am actually quite enjoying sitting around and relaxing surrounded by marker pens and unfinished drawings. Even managed to go to the recycling centre yesterday and get rid of a load of cardboard and plastic bottles that have been hoarded in my kitchen for way too long. I was pleasantly surprised at how busy it was at the recycling place.
Simon Richardson posted the first couple of images from our shoot on his OMP profile. He even offered to send me a CD so I could see how the rest of them turned out, so hopefully should have a few more in the next week or so. Here are the first 2:

And the other is on my website gallery HERE.
I like that it looks a bit like a painting :)
Speaking of nudes, I made a rare entry over at my deviantart journal on the topic of nudity in response to some random troll who said I was sad because I needed to show my boobs to be popular (the same one who made the fake boobs comment actually!). It was quite nice to see that a lot of people share my own views about nudes in art and being naked in general. I'm never sure what people think of all the art nudes that I do. Most people know me for all the crazy latex fashion stuff I guess. Not that I mind, I do love both :)
Oh, I'm published again this month in Advanced Photoshop Magazine with 2 of my pics by Slingshot (scan here). I'm glad the robot one finally got published, even though it's only a small section of the page, I think it's still the best one I've done with Jules. I think I'm supposed to be in the new Black Meringue Mag this month too but I'm not sure when it's out.

Since I finished working in a 9-5 job I've really lost track of days of the week or what date it is. If I didn't have my diary telling me where and when I was working I would be lost. I didn't even realise it was 11th September yesterday. I found this journal entry from
marauderautarki really moving, particularly the last paragraphs. I'm not that great at writing well about meaningful things, but if I could it would be something like that.
So what I was doing yesterday, was shooting in a beautiful old barn in the countryside of Bedford, with photographer Simon Richardson. I was pretty nervous about this particular shoot, as Simon usually works with dancers and gymnasts who can pull all sorts of amazing poses that are rather beyond my flexibility. He also shot one of my favourite images of my favourite art nude model, the now-retired (as far as I know) Peltigera.
But despite my worries, I knew pretty much straight away when I got there that it was going to be a good shoot. There are some photographers you immediately 'click' with and know you are going to make some cool images. Simon was totally into nudes in weird poses and/or with unsual props and I enjoyed going rather over the top with the strange posing (I think I've pulled some muscles actually. I need to learn how to warm up before doing shoots like this!). He also fed me lots of tasty cheese and biscuits. Bonus!
I had to go via St Pancras station to get home afterwards. I've never been in there before, it's so shiny and ultra-modern looking, full of expensive looking art and coffee places. I want to go back to have a proper look around. There was an announcement as I was walking through that all Eurostar services were cancelled due to a fire in the Channel Tunnel. It doesn't look like anyone was seriously hurt though.
In other modelling news, I am now doing 3 days of shows at Salon International for TIGI. I was supposed to be working for Clynol but they cancelled on me a couple of days ago. I would normally have been a bit upset but in a massive coincidence the booking agent for TIGI had actually emailed me only a little earlier and I didn't want to turn them down, cos TIGI are fab :) (you can see me now on thier new professional site in the 'TIGI Colour' and 'Creative News - Collections' section). I also found the first pics from the second shoot I did for them quite randomly on a hairdressing website! It's called the 'Fall Trends' collection, looks like it was only relased a few days ago. I'm looking rather androgynous in them, hurrah! :D

By Roberto Aguilar and Ben Cook for TIGI Colour. I wish I could get my hair to look like this when I do it!
I was also sent a bunch of images from the Fetish. Fashion. Fuel workshop. I've been so looking forward to seeing these! I have so many I'm not allowed to post as they're being published in the next issue of Marquis Magazine, but this one isn't being printed so should be ok (a different, even prettier one from this set was chosen for the mag though).

In my usual not-paying-attention-to-the-world-around-m e, I hadn't actually noticed how heavily it's been raining the past few days. My 2 hour train journey home from shooting in Cheltenham yesterday turned into 5 + hours via the local stopping service to Newport because there was a landslide and all my trains were cancelled. Not having much luck with travel (or anything else for that matter) recently! I do hope everyone is ok though with all the flooding. We seem to have avoided any flooding around here.
Just about to head out for a day in Bath, meeting up with a friend from Uni who I haven't seen in ages. I think they still have my birthday present from last year O_o I need to keep in better contact with my friends and family.
I have a couple of images from the shoot for HMS Latex that I mentioned yesterday:
