I don't think I wrote about it here, but move moving to London is (almost certainly) postponed temporarily. There are a number of reasons, not least being issues with funding for my Masters so I am going to have to defer my entry until September 09. The Masters was one of the major reasons I was moving. I also have the opportunity to go to Sydney and Hong Kong early next year for an extended trip, and it just wouldn't be possible if I was studying. I really love travelling and it's not likely I'll be in the position to do extended travelling once I'm studying again (certainly not as far as Australia anyway) or once I've finished the course and have to start paying back loans!
I found a couple of images from the shoot I wrote about yesterday at The Glasshouse in Edinburgh. I didn't realise the photographer had a blog. I've added it to LJ now:

Latex: Fraulein Ehrhardt

Uber pouty lips of doom. Random awesome fact: Fraulein Ehrhardt have named thier latest dress design after me! :D (See it HERE)
There are several more images (including a funny behind the scenes one) on Trevor's blog here and here (some nudity).
I bought the latest issue of Alternative Magazine to read on the train home from the shoot and was rather interested in the 'News' section at the back, which was reporting on discrimination laws and how having an alternative appearance isnt covered by them. The bit that kind of annoyed me was the ending paragraph, it was supposed to be about the positive side to looking 'alternative' and it used modelling as an example. They had a quote from a professional alt male model "It's the easiest job on the planet and I get to look at half naked people all day" (or something similar). I couldn't tell if it was meant to be tongue-in-cheek or not. I do hope it was.. I don't want to come across as some sort of snob, but 'easy' isn't a word I'd use to describe any sort of professional modelling. I think people saying stuff like that gives such the wrong impression to aspiring models . Not to mention the 'I get to look at naked people all day' bit is kinda lame :/ I'm not sure why is bugged me so much. I guess because I rather like the magazine.

GAH!!!!! Who is this doofus?
Extremely sexist of me I know!
Not at all! :-)
What a nutcase, in the magazine. They do read those entries before sending them to the press, right? Weird. =S
And by the way, I wanted to tell you I think you're getting better and better, these images keep getting more awesome! You're doing a really good job, if I may say so.
Thankfully the models I dribble at from afar 'aren't' in said easy-peasy group, and the difference to a trained letcher like myself is very obvious.
So basically no, you're not a snob, that person is just working with cannon fodder. Like double glazing call-rooms and their recruitment drives.

The rest looks pretty spiffy too :)
Congrats on the dress naming! I really liked that dress the first time I saw it, very elegant! so very fitting that it was named after you :)
Shame about the delay in the masters stuff, but hey, Oz and hong kong's a pretty good way to take your mind off it! :D
(happy belated birthday btw)
i loved the hair! i kept it in for 3 days :D Trevor's wife (who also took some of the photos) did it
HUMPF...'easiest job in the world' even if i didnt have the health problems i have id find it hard..Then again they used a male model....i dont see many of them doing as much hard imagery as alt female models do, ie the poses etc. The male models do tend to just stand there, looking moody lol.
It's been so dull for so long that even the slightest difference to the norm looks slightly weird simply by being 'not the usual way of blokedom' :(
It is also very easy for men to look like dorks though! (been there got the t-shirt, worn it out and earned another! :D) Often easiest to play safe! But still, a model should try a bit harder, they're not supposed to be normal!
I may just be talking nonsense though! (It has been known before!)
I can easily see why! Hubba-hubba!!!
Girl I'd jump through hoops to buy you a drink at the bar! Tres stunning!
You don't only 'do it', but you do is smashingly well!
You succeed.
Actually I agree with this. It's dead easy to be a model. It's only difficult to be a *good* model. ;)
I adore this shot. It's a very different look for you and it's quite striking. I'm always delighted by your range.
Shame it's not Melbourne you're coming to, I would have shown you around :)
Stunning shots as always, you look amaazing.
J.
consider yourself duly warned :P
